1999 "Operation Central America" continued visits to the region of Honduras and Nicaragua, of teams of doctors to provide medical services to the victims of Hurricane Mitch.

2001  
January 13 to March Earthquake in Usulutan, El Salvador with an intensity of 7.5 on the Richter scale. The M.M.T.F. sent teams of physicians and nurses with one ton of medications on each trip. Visits to rural areas devastated by the quake in a monthly basis from January to June 2001
March Trip to Haiti. Visited the General Hospital at Ft. Liberte and donated medications and medical supplies
June Dominican Republic. The M.M.T.F. sent a team of physicians and nurses with medications to San Cristobal province and Haina, to help poor people in the area.
February, March, April Donations of medications to an aid's patient in Tegucigalpa, Honduras, C. A.
October Donation of medications, small medical supplies and used medical equipment to the hospital in the suburb of San Cristobal in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
November Dominican Republic. The M.M.T.F. sent a team of physicians and nurses with medications to San Cristobal province and Haina, to help poor people in the area.
January to December Humanitarian donations of medications to municipality associations in exile through the  program "Solidarity With Other Municipalities In Cuba", which were sent to political prisoners and their families an other people in need in their municipalities in Cuba.
November, December After "September 11th (9/11)" the MMTF conducted seminars to alert and prepare the medical and civil community in case of a surprise bioterrorist, chemical and/or radioactive attack at Westchester Hospital, Coral Gables Hospital, Casa del Preso, all in Miami, Florida. Also at "Therapy Advantage Rehabilitation Center" and to Students at professional learning centers in Miami, Florida.
  A seminar on "Terrorism, Mass Casualties and Hazardous Materials: Community Preparedness and Response". Was sponsored by the Miami Medical Team Foundation (MMTF), the local field office of the "Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI)" and the U.S. Attorney's office Southern District of Florida and was presented by the City of Miami Police Department.
2002  
January to June Donation of medications to prisoners in Cuban jails and to their families.
March  Donation of medicines, medical supplies and used hospital equipment to the “health help project, inc.” of Nigeria, delivered in Miami to the consul of Nigeria
June to August  “Operation Dengue”, The MMT responding to a request for help to fight a severe “dengue” epidemic, from the president of the republic of el Salvador, sent a group of physicians, nurse and logistic personnel to that country to assess the conditions and to provide medical relief to local doctors and donate medications. The MMT group was accompanied by the head of the Miami Dade county mosquito control department and an entomologist from Miami Dade county.

Group of physicians, nurses and logistic personnel continue traveling to El Salvador to provide medical services and donate medicines.

2003

Medical support to the "Cuban Memorial" in Tamiami Park, Miami, Florida to commemorate and honor the victims who were executed in Cuba by Fidel Castro.

March Donation of medications to an aids infected patient in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. The MMTF has been helping this patient  for many years (passed away in May 2004).

  Donation of medications to Tegucigalpa, Honduras for an ill child.
  Donation of medications to a group of dock workers in Cuba.
  Update, review and discuss "Project Cuba" of the Miami Medical Team Foundation, designed to transport massive donations to municipalities in Cuba.
  Presentation of "Project Cuba" to the State Department and to the USAID.
  Weekly training programs at the house of "Municipalities of Cuba in Exile" to a volunteer group of members for "Project Cuba".

Curriculum:

1. Updated information about Cuba at the present time. Including Geography, railroads, airports, seaports and highways.
2. Logistics training in receiving donations, packing, shipping, delivering donations in Cuba (medications, medical equipment, food, clothing, toys).
3. Personnel safeguards: avoiding self-contamination and diseases, use of potable water and eatable food, protection against mosquitoes and all insects, sun block protection.
4. CBR Training: to detect and prevent any Chemical, Biological and/or Radioactive accident to our volunteers and the local population.
5. CPR Training: Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation course to all members, to train volunteers proficiently to respond to any emergency.

November Graduation of 148 volunteers in above mentioned courses. Diplomas conferred to the members.
  Programs between the MMTF and the "Cuban Municipalities in Exile" to establish and develop the "Committee of Cuban Municipalities Council" ("Patronatos", organize a strategy to help each and every one of the 160 Cuban Municipalities simultaneously and implementing a program already in progress of "Sisterhood Between Cities").

The basis of the help to the municipalities will focus on:

a) Health systems: Equipment, Ambulances.
b) Schools: Books, computers, laboratories, sport competitions, etc.
c) Health and Hygiene for children and the elderly.
d) Environmental programs: Elimination of insects, vectors, trash disposal, black waters, etc.

2006-2007 Radio Broadcasting:

a) Weekly MMT medical programs to Cuba through Radio Marti. Directed as a public service and as orientation to health workers and the general population.
b) Two additional weekly radio broadcasts about general topics related to medicine and the work of the MMT in different parts of the world and the plans for the medical reconstruction of Cuba.

August Earthquake in Cisco, Peru:

Massive drive to collect food, clothing and medications for the victims of the earthquake in Cisco, Peru in collaboration with the "Municipios de Cuba en el Exilio". Donations delivered to the victims in 72 hours.

December Conference about the "Cuban Health System" to cadets of "The Citadel" of South Carolina at the "Institute of Cuban American Studies" of the University of Miami.
2008  
February A Container was sent to Costa Rica to help the victims  of massive floods, with donations of medications, medical supplies, canned goods and rice, school supplies and medical equipment.

January Evacuation exercises by the MMTF and personnel from Turkey Point Power Plant in case of a terrorist attack.

April After outbreak of Hini Virus in Mexico, a prevention and precaution pamphlet was prepared by the MMTF and circulated to area hospitals to educate people to avoid spreading the disease.
May & June Training of volunteers in rapid response in case of a local emergency or abroad on how to collect, sort, pack and ship donations in 72 hours.

>1st Trip: February 4, 2010 - Entered Haiti through Jimaní, Dominican Republic.
Team: 5 doctors, 1 dentist,3 nurses, 3 logistics/security personnel.
Cases: 157 cases, plus medications provided.
Medications Taken: 1500 pounds.

>2nd Trip: March 4, 2010 - Direct flight to Port Au Prince via Air France.
Team: 9 doctors, 1 nurses, 3 med students, 2 logistics/security personnel.
Cases: 635 cases, plus medications provided.
Medications Taken: 900 pounds.

>3rd Trip: April 4, 2010 - Direct flight to Port Au Prince via American Airlines.
Team: 8 doctors, 1 dentist, 2 med students, 1 orthotist, 1 Miami-Dade County entomologist (asses mosquito situation), 3 logistics/security personnel.
Cases: 780 cases, plus medications provided.
Medications Taken: 900 pounds.

On April 30, 2010 - Two surgeons traveled to Port Au Prince to assess the conditions of  a local hospital for future surgical purposes.

>4th Trip: May 20, 2010 - Direct flight to Port Au Prince via American Airlines.
Team: 6 doctors, 2 med students, 3 logistics/security personnel.
Cases: 600 cases, plus 1,800 Rx's dispatched.
Medications Taken: 750 pounds.

>5th Trip: June 16, 2010 - Direct flight to Port Au Prince via American Airlines.
Team: 5 doctors, 1 dentist, 2 med students, 3 logistics/security personnel.
Cases: 531 cases, 94 dental extractions, plus 1,500 Rx's dispatched.
Medications Taken: 500 pounds.

>6th Trip: August 19, 2010 - Direct flight to Port Au Prince via American Airlines.
Team: Orthopedics, a General Surgeon, Pediatricians, Orthotist, Nurse, 2 med students, 3 logistics/1 security personnel.
Cases: 500 cases, 85 dental extractions.
Medications Taken: 500 pounds.

>7th Trip: September 16, 2010 - Direct flight to Port Au Prince via American Airlines.
Team: Dentist, Cardiologist, Internist, Pediatricians, Orthotist,  med students, 3 logistics/1 security personnel.
Cases: 568 cases.
Medications Taken: 500 pounds.

November Fundraising event jointly with "Prosthesis Without Borders" to benefit a young child whose leg was amputated in Cuba,  came to this country to be fitted with a prosthesis, but first had to be treated with surgery due to an infection on the stump. Child's name: Alexis Prieto.
